Now You Can Have Breakfast At Tiffany's...Literally
You can now shop for jewellery and dine in Tiffany & Co.'s NYC flagship store on 5th Avenue at its recently launched Blue Box Café. Located on the fourth level of the store, its doors opened on Friday, 10 November and judging from the pictures, it looks stunning and is absolutely Instagram-worthy. The café lives up to its name as it's decked out in the trademark Tiffany blue or robin's egg-blue hue, including the chairs and plates which are blue-dipped.
Overlooking Central Park, this is a great place to take a load off after jewellery or engagement ring (*hint hint*) shopping. It serves American classics made with regionally-sourced ingredients, with the menu rotating seasonally. Expect a refined take on signature New York favourites like a breakfast set (US$29) of bagel and lox (this combo is so New York!) with decadent truffled eggs. The lunch set (US$39) includes a starter of soup or salad with a main course of sandwiches and salads.
And should you want to live out your Audrey Hepburn fantasy, you could order a croissant and coffee here too! But if you want something exclusive, go for the Charles Lewis Tiffany Club Sandwich, which is named after Tiffany’s founder, a Fifth Avenue Salad, or even the Blue Box Café cake!
