Daniel And Esther’s Rustic Wedding At Open Farm Community

The most pragmatic couple by far, Daniel and Esther conducted their solemnisation in their new home, and used all that money saved for an intimate wedding dinner five months later at Open Farm Community.

“Open Farm’s setting and décor was perfect. I didn’t need to worry too much about dressing the place up as everything looked raw and woody with the bonus of a beautiful garden,” said the bride who donned a custom-made illusion long-sleeved gown by Jessicacindy.

They kept the venue colours neutral with white, green and brown décor to reflect nature. To keep costs down, the couple (and friends) DIY-ed every aspect of the wedding décor from the invites to guestbook, signages, floral arrangements and even the wedding favours. “We love our food plus I love cooking and feeding people, so I decided to make homemade jars of dried hot chocolate with marshmallows,” she explains.

The four-course dinner was exactly how the couple wanted – laid-back and fuss-free with informal seating arrangements both indoors and outdoors. Their musician friends from rock band Shagies entertained the crowd like a personal concert!

“We loved how everything came together – it was casual and comfortable with great food and even greater company.”
